Henry Olswold
Henry Olswold, son of Herman and Helen Olswold, was born at Culbertson, Nebraska, July 25, 1882, and passed away at his home in Osage, Iowa, January 25, 1939, exactly 56 years and 6 months of age. His death came suddenly and unexpectedly due to a cerebral hemorhage.
The deceased was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. On April 8, 1917, he was married to Lillie Bagstad at Lyle, Minnesota. The Olswolds lived on a farm near Lyle for twenty years, moving in the fall of 1937 to Osage.
Deceased was a active member of his church, and for two terms he served as trustee in the Lutheran church at Lyle.
Beside his wife he is survived by a son, Clarence and a daughter, May, by a brother, Chris; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hanson and Mrs. Hans (Anna) Richardson, all of Lyle, Minnesota.
Funeral services were held at the Shelledy funeral home and at the Osage Lutheran church Saturday at 2:05 and 2:15. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona, Iowa.
