MRS. KIRCHGATER DIES AT 76; RITES SATURDAY

St. Ansgar – Mrs. Amanda Kirchgatter, 76, died Thursday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Freda Lillibridge, Waverly; Mrs. Bernice Edgar, Rock Falls; three sons, Ellery, Earl, and Carl, St. Ansgar; a brother Walter Bowers, Cushing, Minn., 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the St. Ansgar Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery with Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home in charge.

Amanda B Kirchgatter was born May 2, 1884 in St. Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Bowers (aka: Karl, Charlie, Carl) and Hulda (Leske) Bowers. She married Richard Kirchgatter, the son of Henry and Caroline Kirchgatter.
