KASSON, MINNESOTA -- The memorial mass for Mary Bzoskie will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007, 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kasson, with Father Paul Surprenant officiating. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Kasson, in the spring.
Mrs. Bzoskie, 64, of Kasson, passed away at her home on Monday, December 17, 2007 after a short battle with cancer.
Mary Frances Hohn was born April 9, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from St. Ansgar High School, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
After high school she attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Rochester Mayo Clinic from 1963 until her retirement in April of 2005.
On August 28, 1965 she married Robert "Butch" Bzoskie at St. Ansgar Catholic Church. The couple lived and raised their two children in Kasson where she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mary enjoyed spending time camping with her family at the "back farm," traveling to different flee markets looking for those unique collections, visiting various casinos, supporting her family members at their many sporting events, and shopping with her best friend. But most of her enjoyment came from spending time with her five beautiful grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband; son Jim (Rachel) Bzoskie; daughter Deborah (Tim) O'Connor; and five grandchildren, Mikayla, Chase, Keagan, Hunter, and Addison all of Kasson; her mother, Rita Hohn of St. Ansgar, Iowa; two sisters, Elaine Warner of Byron, Minnesota, and Marlene (Dennis) Lippitt of Big Lake, Minnesota; two brothers, Gerald Hohn of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and Dennis (Dawn) Hohn of Ankeny, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Sylvia Diekman of Kasson, Minnesota and her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Almond Hohn, and special friend and sister-in-law, Sue Hohn.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Kasson and an hour before the service. There will be no reviewal.
Dibble Funeral Home of Kasson is handling the arrangements.
