CARL STRINGER DIES IN OSAGE
RETIRED BUSINESSMAN WAS ORGANIZER OF HOME TRUST SAVINGS BANKOsage – Carl Stringer, 81, died suddenly at his home here Tuesday afternoon.
Born June 2, 1861, in Elgin, Ill., Mr. Stringer moved with his parents to a farm north of McIntire.
He was married in April 1883, to Cora Griffin of McIntire and they lived on the home farm until moving to Osage about 50 years ago.Mr. Stringer was one of the organizers of the Home Trust Savings Bank when he came to Osage and worked in the bank for one year before retiring.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Arthur of Minneapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Reed of Waterloo; and a brother, Harry, of Long Beach, Cal.
Services were not definitely arranged Wednesday, but will probably be held Thursday. Burial will be in Osage cemetery. The body is at the Champion funeral home here.
