WEST JENKINS
Last Tuesday morning, Mr. Redfield received a telegram from Wisconsin, stating that his mother was very sick. Within an hour, himself and wife were on their way to her side, where they arrived in time to help care for her about thirty-six hours, when she passed away, after six days of intense suffering.
Mrs. Redfield was seventy-seven years, four months and fourteen days old at the time of her death.
She was a woman who always commanded the love and respect of her friends, particularly that of her own family, who, by their acts, since our acquaintance with them, have always said " nothing is too good for mother."
Her remains were brought here and funeral services were held at the residence of Russell Redfield, her youngest son, then were laid in the Brownville cemetery, by the side of her husband, who, it will be remembered, died here last spring, while on a visit, and was buried there.
Four sons and a number of grandchildren remain to mourn the loss of mother and grandmother. Rev. Cassiday conducted the funeral services in his usual clear and candid manner, pleasing to all his hearers.
