Services were held at the First Lutheran church at St. Ansgar, October 7, 1949 for Mrs. Henry B. Hansen. The Reverend O. A. Langehough officiating. Interment was in the First Lutheran cemetery.
Ida Johnson Hansen, daughter of Martin and Bertha Nesset Johnson, was born August 26, 1878, on a farm in Otranto township, and passed away Wednesday, October 5th, after an illness of four months, at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 9 days.
Mrs. Hansen was baptized by Pastor Johan Olsen, and confirmed by Pastor J. M. Eggen at the Mona Lutheran church. September 25, 1901, she was united in marriage to Henry B. Hansen. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Bottineau, N. Dak., living also at Pleasant Lake and Barton, N. Dak. In 1910 they moved to Wibaux, Montana, where they made their home until 1922. At that time they returned to St. Ansgar, living here the next five years. In 1927 they again moved to Wibaux, living there until 1930, when they returned to St. Ansgar to establish their permanent residence.
Mrs. Hansen was a faithful member of First Lutheran, regular in her church attendance, until she became ill. She was also an active member of the Ladies' Aid and of Naomi Circle and was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, and four sisters: Mrs. Mina Hansen, Mrs. Eddie Hanson, Mrs. Magnus Hanson and Miss Mathilda Johnson, all residents of St. Ansgar and vicinity; also a large number of nieces and nephews. Eight brothers and sisters, together with her parents, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers were Orlando Johnson, Julius Kittleson, Raymond Hanson, Morris Hanson, Walter Eggen and Olaf Johnson.
Those from a distance who came to attend the funeral were Mrs. Andy Lund, Sturgis, S. Dak., and Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Sherman, Wibaux, Montana.

Henry B. Hansen was almost always known simply as H.B. Hansen.Ida's father's name was "Nesset Johnson" -- sometimes known as Martin Nesset, and sometimes as Martin Johnson, and he is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery as "Martin Nesse".
