FOUND DEAD AT CLEAR LAKE HOME
Riceville – Norbert Burke, 64, was found dead in bed Monday at the Clear Lake apartment where he had been living while employed at the sugar beet plant.
He was a World War I veteran. He was born in Riceville and had operated the grain elevator there for many years.
Mr. Burke is survived by his wife, the former Edith Wiley; one son; Richard, Cedar Rapids; and two daughters, Connie, St. Paul; and Mrs. Barbara Stier, Grand Meadows, Minn.
He is survived also by four sisters; Mrs. Florence White, the post mistress in Riceville; Mrs. Katherine Dennis; Genevieve and Mary, all of Riceville.
Funeral services are incomplete at the Riceville Funeral Home.
