OSAGE WOMAN DIES AT 87 AFTER ILLNESS; SERVICES SATURDAYOsage, Iowa – Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Champion Funeral home and at 2 o’clock at the Osage Lutheran church in charge of the Rev. T. P. Solem for Mrs. Ole Leverson, 87, who died Wednesday night at the Oscar Haugen home. She had been in failing health several months. Mr. Leverson died two years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Emmet of Osage; and Oscar of Meltonville, Minnesota; and a daughter; Mrs. Gus Lunde of Nora Springs. Two sons, Otto and Tom preceded their mother in death. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

#4: RESEARCH FINDINGS--Barbara Sophia Gaardner was born November 24, 1851 at Albany, Green, Wisconsin. (Her maiden name is sometimes found as Gothompson, her father's first name MAY have been Paul.)
Barbara married Ole Olsen Levorsen on July 4, 1877 at Albany, Green, Wisconsin.
The couple had five (5) children:
Otto Gaylord (born October 2, 1878 Albany, Green, Wisconsin, died 1937);Otilda Lorinda (born; May 15, 1881 Albany, Green, Wisconsin, married Gustave
Adolph Lunde April 30, 1908 RCLC, Meroa, Iowa, died August 28, 1967 Nora Springs, Floyd, Iowa);Thomas Olesen (born October 1883 Albany, Green, Wisconsin, died January 26, 1912);
Emmet Myron (born May 28, 1887 Albany, Green, Wisconsin, died February 15, 1973 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa) and
Oscar Berndt (born July 29, 1888 Albany, Green, Wisconsin). Barbara Sophia Gaardner Levorsen died July 12, 1939 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
(Ignore this obit - it's already posted but again, no mention here of the last name Paulson but her husband's obit calls her Sophia Paulson)

1910: Ole Leverson 56, Barbara Sophia Gaardner Levorsen 59, Thomas Leverson 25, Oline Olsdatter Snoviken Levordsen 91.

NOTE: Not sure which is the correct spelling of Ole's last name. Found Leversen, Leverson, Levorsen and Levordsen.

#5: Research Findings--Her maiden name was GAARDER, not Gaardner. I finally found them in the 1925 census, the transcriber had the name spelled as Sorensen instead of Levorsen -- (the tombstone has Levorson on it).

Ole E. Levorson 71 born Wisconsin; parents Ole Leverson and Olia Olson Sophia 73, born Wisconsin; parents Tom Garder and Thora Docken (Spelled just like they had it in this census)--------------------------------------
Barbara Sophia Gaarder was born November 24, 1851 in Albany, Green County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Guttorm Gaarder 1826-1855. Her mother was Thora Olsdatter Pilting Sruldokka.After Guttorm died Thora married Ole Polsen Skindingsrud Paulson 1820-1899.
Her parents are buried in the Norwegian Settlement Church Cemetery, Green County, Wisconsin
