Osage – C. S. Esplund, 85, died Thursday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oscar Leverson, Meltonville, Ia. Mr. Esplund, whose former home was Osage has been bedridden the last year. His wife died in June 1946, as a result of burns suffered when she extinguished a fire in the home
Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Deer Creek Lutheran Church northwest of St. Ansgar with burial in Deer Creek Cemetery.
He lived for 52 years on the same farm west of Meltonville.
He leaves two daughters; Mrs. Alfred Johnson, Northwood; and Mrs. Oscar Leverson, on home farm and one son, Selmer, Newburg, Oregon.
