Addie Evans, daughter of Edwin and Jean Evans was born near Brodhead, Wisconsin, June 6, 1863 and entered the rest of God's people, March 7, 1938, The days of her earthly pilgrimage were 75 years, 9 months and 7 days.
On the 26th day of September 1885 she became the wife of John Swancutt. To this union were born six children: Orville, Charles City; Blanch, Parkers Prairie, Minnesota; Elby of Riceville; Edith and Lottie of McVille, North Dakota; and Charles of Chester, Iowa.
In March of 1938 she was stricken with paralysis which left her entirely helpless and unable to talk.
She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, 6 children and many relatives and friends.
In her earlier life she was converted and baptized into the fellowship of the Baptist Church and was a faithful worker until hindered by infirmity.
Now the Lord has delivered her from every evil through a quiet peaceful death and crowned her with a crown of grace - the crown of ever-lasting life.
The funeral services were held at the Baptist Church March 10, conducted by the Rev. L.D. Eaton, the Pastor of the church.
Interment was made in the Wayne Cemetery at McIntire."
