JAMES W. SEEBER
CEDAR RAPIDS - James W. Seeber, 61, of 3389 Singer Hill Lane, died Monday (June 5, 2000) at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha, with the Rev. Daniel Krueger officiating. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Osage Cemetery in Osage.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, 4200 First Ave. N.E. in Cedar Rapids, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church.
James was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Osage, the loving son of Kenneth "Kink" and Myrtle Ask Seeber. He married Peggy Lou Kusel on April 4, 1970, in Keystone.
James was an engineering lab manager at Rockwell Collins for 37 years. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha and served in the U.S. Army. He liked to play golf and to spend time on his acreage along the Cedar River in Osage fishing.
A memorial fund has been established.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Brian, of Cedar Rapids and Bradley, of Ames; a daughter, Cindy Young and her husband, Jon, of Marion; and his mother-in-law, Thelma Kusel, of Keystone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary; and his father-in-law, Loren Kusel.
