BEN BOWER 69 DIES AT OSAGE; RITES PENDING

Mitchell – Ben Bower, 69, died Thursday morning at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Champion Funeral Home.

Born in May 1892, in Pennsylvania, he came to Mitchell County in 1901. He was married to Ada Warrington in June 1922. They have farmed since their marriage. He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, a brother, John, Osage; two sisters; Miss Susie Bower, Osage; Mrs. Leslie Govier, Stewartville, Minnesota.

Benneville “Ben” Bower was born May 3, 1892 in Pennsylvania, the son of Henry Bower and Mary Belle (Miller) Bower. He married Ada Warrington, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Jane (Attlesley) Warrington.
After the death of Ben, Ada Warrington married Lester Govier the son of William and Henrietta (Douglas) Govier. Lester Goviers first wife was Mary Rose Bower (Bens sister). She died April 1966.
Note* The step children mentioned in Ada Goviers obit were: Survivors include three stepchildren, Wilma Lawson, Lois Kaul and Bill Govier, all of Racine, Minnesota; who were the children of Lester and Mary Ruth Bower Govier.
