[NOTE: Erik Larsen was born July 22nd 1878 in Ådal, Buskerud county, Norway. Parents: Lars Olsen Hval and Ingeborg Andersdatter.

RETIRED FARMER DIES AT HOME IN MITCHELL

Osage – Erick Wahl, 66, died at his home at Mitchell Saturday evening following a stroke.

Erick Wahl was born July 22, 1878, in Norway. In 1904, he came to America, settling in the Rock Creek territory. He was married to Stella Johnson at Albert Lea, Minn., and they established their first home in Rock Creek, then purchased a farm near St. Ansgar where they lived the major portion of their married life. They moved to Mitchell last spring.

Erick Wahl was born in a family of 10 children, 8 of whom survive. Brothers include: Ole, Rock Creek; Andrew, Grand Meadow, Minn.; Ingwald, St. Ansgar; Ben and Harry of LeRoy, Minn.; and Lars, Milwaukee, Wis. Sisters are Karen Wahl Moen, Leroy, Minn.; and Mrs. Henry Pulscher, Marenda, Cal.
