Eric Martinus Loden 1877-1963

ERIC LODEN, 85, DIES AT OSAGE

Osage – Eric Loden, 85, died Monday morning in the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage. Funeral services are set tentatively for Wednesday afternoon at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Obert Hoven will officiate. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with Champion Funeral Home in charge.

Born in Norway August 24, 1877, he was married to Dina Gismervick December 4, 1903. The came to the U.S. in 1927 and had lived in Mitchell County the last 34 years. His wife died two years ago.

Surviving are two sons: Sam, Osage; Donald, Altus, Okla; nine daughters; Mrs. Ira (Marie) Wymore, Oskaloosa; Mrs. Lloyd (Sigrun) Milton, Little Cedar; Mrs. Harold (Elita) Stram and Mrs. Ted (Ingrid) Sloan, New Sharon; Mrs. Ivan (Lindy) Elliot, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Glenn (Nadine) Hernan, Mitchell; Mrs. Tom (Sigrid) Fritcher; and Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Fritcher, Lime Springs; Mrs. John (Emma) Seckar, Charles City; 28 grandchildren; a brother, Austin Loden, Albert Lea and a sister in Norway.
