MRS. NICOL OF OSAGE DIES; RITES WEDNESDAY
Osage, May 29. – Mrs. W.R. Nicol of Osage died Monday at the home of her son, Charles, in the country north of Osage.
Mrs. Nicol has been in failing health for some time and their son’s wife and nurse took her to the son’s home to care for her. Mrs. Nicol was nearly 86. Mr. Nicol died in 1920.
Beside the son, Charles, she is survived by two daughters; Mrs. W. S. Sides in California; and Mrs. William Waldron, of Cedar Rapids.
Services will be held Wednesday at the Champion funeral home, a Christian Science service, and burial at Osage.Mason City Globe Gazette, Tuesday May 29, 1934

Josephine (Fish) Nicol was born June 1848 in Maine, the daughter of Nathaniel Bragg Fish and Nancy (Shepard) Fish. She married William R Nicol.
