OSAGE MAN SERVED ON CHURCH BOARD 25 YEARS; WAS MARRIED 50 YEARS
Osage – Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Champion Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly of the Osage Congregational church for William H. Addington, 74, who died suddenly Tuesday noon.Born in Stacyville October 5, 1865, he was married 50 years ago October 24th to Emma Kane at Libertyville, Illinois.
In 1900 they moved to Osage and Mr. Addington purchased a meat market which he operated 35 years. He retired four years ago because of his health. Mr. Addington was a member of the board of trustees of the Congregational church for 25 years.
Surviving are his widow and two daughters; Mrs. Hugh Lawson of Evanston, Ill.; and Mrs. William Post of Birgingham, Ala.; a grandson, James Lawson, of Los Angeles, Cal.; and a brother, Clinton Addington of Des Moines.
