Hans Peterson 1877-1963

HANS PETERSON RITES SATURDAY AT OSAGE CHURCH

Osage – Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church here for Hans Peterson, 85. He died Wednesday at a Rockford Convalescent Home. The Rev. John Woodlin will officiate. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with Champion Funeral Home in charge.

Born December 25, 1877, near Osage, he was the son of Peter and Mary Peterson. He had been employed at Kingsbury Hardware here and by Mitchell County. He belonged to the Volunteer fire Department of Osage. His first wife, Emma Hagg, died in 1910. He was married to Mabel Agnes Gifford in 1916.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Erwin, Blue Grass, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. John L (Merlene) Rogers, Osage; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, a brother, Carl, Hudson; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Horgen, Lyle, Minn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Theona, two sisters and a brother.
