OSAGE WOMAN DIES SUDDENLYOsage – Mrs. R. L. Whitley, 73, died suddenly Wednesday morning at her home here following a heart attack.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Whitaker, she was born in Osage and spent all her life here. She was married August 2, 1898, to Dr. R. L. Whitley.
Surviving are her husband; one son, John, and a sister, Mrs. Lou Wilkinson of Hollywood, Cal.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete Wednesday.

WHITLEY SERVICES HELD IN OSAGE AT CONGREGATIONAL CHURCHOsage – Funeral services were held Friday at the Champion funeral home in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly of the Osage Congregational church for Mrs. R. L. Whitley, 72, who died suddenly.
Gertrude Whitaker was born November 10, 1869 in Osage, the daughter of Daniel and Allene Whitaker. Aside from spending a year in South Dakota teaching school and two years in California with her aunt, she spent all her life in Osage. On August 2, 1898, she was married to Dr. Ralph Whitley.
Surviving are her husband and one son, John, and a grandson Dirk Whitley; one sister, Mrs. Louise Wilkinson of Hollywood, Cal, and one brother Glen Whitaker of Osage.
