MITCHELL COUNTY PIONEER DIES AT HOME IN KANSAS
McIntire, April 3. – Anthony Tibbits died Sunday morning at his home in Salina, Kansas. He was 80 years old March 25th. He was an early settler in Mitchell County, Iowa, moving to Kansas from Osage.
He was a brother of John Tibbits, 78, McIntire who is now the only surviving member of the family, of one sister and five brothers.
Mr. Tibbits leaves an aged wife and one son, George, also in Kansas.

Anthony Tibbits was born March 25, 1854 in Kansas, the son of Robert Tibbits and Mary (Rolfe) Tibbits. His parents are buried in the Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis, Ottawa, Kansas.
