FRANCES A STACY OF OSAGE DIES; FUNERAL WILL BE HELD FRIDAY
Osage, Jan. 10 – Miss Frances Amelia Stacy who had been ill for a few weeks, died at her home Wednesday. Born October 27, 1857, at Stacyville, she studied in Chicago, specializing in kindergarten work. She opened a kindergarten in her home at Osage which was successfully conducted for 30 years.
Since retiring, she made her home with Mrs. Ed Stacy, who died two and a half weeks ago and Miss Delia Stacy, a sister.
She is survived by another sister, Mrs. Harriet Reeves, Wilmar, Minn., and a brother near Osage, Asa I. Stacy. She was an active member of the local Congregational church since 1887
Services were announced for 2 p.m. Friday at Shelledy funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly and burial at Osage.
