MARCKS, Walter E.

Walter E. Marcks, 81, of rural St. Ansgar, Iowa, died on Thursday, February 16, 1984, at North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 18, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. Rev. Norman Betke officiated, with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Marcks raised turkeys and produce and had also been an independent trucker.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Geneva) Hanna of Osage; Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Schmarzo of Charles City and Mrs. Jim (Sandra) Lau of Clear Lake; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Laura Roby of Osage, and one brother, Emil of Austin, Minnesota.
