JOHN DOSTART

OSAGE - John Dostart, 79, of Osage, died Saturday (Jan. 15, 2000) at Faith Home, Osage, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1209 State St., Osage, with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at New Haven.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage, where there will be a 3 p.m. rosary and a Scripture wake service at 7 p.m.

John Dostart was born March 1, 1920, at New Haven, the son of Stephen and Katherine (Michels) Dostart. He attended New Haven Schools.

He married Maxine Francis Nov. 11, 1939, at New Haven. He was employed for many years by Waterloo Implement Company. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Dostart of Osage; two daughters, Patricia Jean Theilen of Nashua, and Barbara Ann Thomas and husband, Leonard, of Montana; one son, Steven Joseph Dostart and wife, Tina, of Evansville; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Joan Marie Dostart; one son, Jerry Lee Dostart; two sisters, Lillian Blonigan and Aileen Cagley; and one brother, Leon Dostart.
