CONDUCT LAST RITES AT OSAGE FOR HENRY CLAY, ILLNESS VICTIM
Osage – Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Champion funeral home in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly of the Osage Congregational church for Henry Clay, 78, who died at his home Friday afternoon following a month’s illness.
Born in Floyd County, he came to Mitchell County in 1913. He was married March 28, 1889, to Alma Benson.
Surviving are his widow and three children; Marjorie Clay and Betty Woodward of Osage; Sam of Clarinda, a brother, J. W. Clay, of Osage, and a sister, Mrs. E. W. Howard of Nashua. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
