WILLIAM VOAKLANDER
Osage – William Voaklander, 85, died Thursday at his home in Burr Oak Township. Funeral services are set tentatively for Saturday at 2 p.m. at the chamption Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer of St. Ansgar will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Little Cedar.
Surviving are his wife, the former Agnes Watt; two daughters; Mrs. Arnold (Helen) Hultman, Little Cedar; Mrs. Francis (Clarice) Nugent, Kirksville, Mo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a son, Clark; and infant daughter and a grandson.

William Ernest Voaklander was the son of William Voaklander Sr. and Marie English and a younger brother of Frank Voaklander. He was born December 12, 1877 (according to the WWI Draft Registration). He married Agnes Watt, the daughter of James Watt and Alma (Brown) Watt. Agnes was the sister of Clarissa “Clara” Watt who married Frank Voaklander.
