Rites WednesdayFuneral services for Mrs. Gena Palmer, 84, who died Suday, June 24, 1962 were held Wednesday, June 27 at the Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home with the Reverend Henry Erickson officiating.
Gena was born to Knut and Oline Williams January 13, 1878. She spent her girlhood near St. Ansgar. On August 10, 1896 she married James Palmer. To this marriage two sons were born, Justus and Orrie.
During her married life Gena live in and near Lyle, Minnesota. After her husband's death in 1926 she spent the remainder of her years in St. Ansgar.
Preceding her in death were her husband, two sons, Justus and Orrie, her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Clark Frank, Mrs. Minnie Hofland and Mrs. Hattie Delany.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ida Gould, St. Ansgar and Mrs. Marie Springer of Charles City, two daughter-in-laws, Mrs. Theressa Palmer of Carpenter and Mrs. Alice Palmer of Harmony, Minnesota, eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery with Reverend Erickson in charge of the committal services
