Former McIntire
Man Died in Texas
Hospital Jan. 13
Miss Elsie Gilman, McIntire, has news of the death of a former McIntire pioneer resident, Morris Barker, 74, at the Convalescent Hospital in Hutchins, Texas, January 13, 1936.
Mr. Barker had been in the hospital for treatment for several months. About four weeks ago he underwent an operation, hoping for relief. A cancerous growth was found, so his life was not prolonged.
Interment was to be made beside his wife in the Restland Memorial Cemetery at Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Barker was born and raised on the farm now owned by Mrs. Martha Siple. He has many friends in the vicinity of McIntire and Riceville who will grieve his passing.
