MEYER, IOWA - John Freund, 85, died Saturday night at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Meyer. A nephew, the Rev. F. D. Heimerman, State Center, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Hatton & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; four children: Lawrence, Meyer; Steven, Adams, Minn., Joe, Osage; Oswald, North Carolina; Mrs. Leonard (Catherine) Brandel, Dubuque; Mrs. Norman (Margaret) Hanson, Rochester, Minn.; 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Agnes, a brother and a sister.
