LAST RITES AT OSAGE TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY FOR RETIRED FARMER

OSAGE, IOWA – Funeral services for Henry Severson, 82, long time resident of Mitchell County, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, the Rev. George Stemm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He died Friday at his home here.

Mr. Severson was born in Germany and came to America at the age of 17 with his sister who is now Mrs. August Hultman of Little Cedar.

In 1895 he married Anna Krones. They farmed for 49 years then moved to Osage. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year.

Survivors include the wife, son Harold who operates the old farm, and three daughters: Mrs. Ray Hernan of Osage, Mrs. William Stammeyer of Boone, and Mrs. Lonnie Lokenvitz of Ventura, California.
