RICEVILLE — Bertha Grimm, 91, died Friday (Jan. 8, 1999) at the Riceville Community Rest Home.
A funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Spring burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home, with a rosary at 5 p.m., and a scripture service at 7 p.m.
Bertha Grimm was born March 19, 1907, in Olney, Ill.
Survivors include seven sons, Donald of Waterloo, Ray of Hudson, Fred of Rochester, Minn., Gene of Riceville, Roy of Rochester, Ronnie of Riceville, and Dennis of Waterloo; four daughters, Adeline (Addie) Ameling of Waterloo, Rosella (Rosie) Thompson of Waterloo, Bernita (Babe) Bottema of Waterloo, and Karen Peik of Rochester; 47 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Wilbur Weber of La Porte City, and Charles Weber of Austin, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children, six brothers, and two sisters.
