Charles Galt Mackin
OSAGE — Charles Galt Mackin, 80, of Osage, died Tuesday (May 19, 1998) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, with full military rites conducted by the Osage American Legion Post #278.
There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
Charles Galt Mackin was born Sept. 2, 1917, near Grafton.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille, of Osage; two daughters, Marie Ockman, of Orlando, Fla., and Joann Mackin, of Carroll; three sons, Jere Mackin, of Plymouth, Minn., Patrick Mackin, of San Antonio, Texas, and Richard Mackin, of Manly; one stepdaughter, Linda Trobaugh, of Chicago Heights, Illinois; and one stepson, James Horgen, of St. Ansgar; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
