ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Jason L. Swanson, 23, died Friday (May 8, 1998) at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on May 3.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour before the service Tuesday at the church.
Jason was born July 12, 1974, in Fort Collins, Colo.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Bruggeman, and her husband, Darwin, St. Ansgar; his father, Steven Swanson, Denver, Colo.; a sister, Bobbi Swanson, St. Ansgar; grandparents, Bob Swanson of Loveland, Colo., and Barb Walker of Omaha, Neb; great-grandparents, Carmen and Hazel Halstenson of Austin, Minn., and Florence Stock of St. Ansgar; and stepgrandparents, Lawrence Sr. And Maxine Bruggeman of St. Ansgar.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
