Michael G. ‘Mick’ Penney

OSAGE, IOWA — Michael G. "Mick" Penney, 45, of #16 Triangle Court, Osage, died Saturday (Feb. 7, 1998) at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Little Cedar United Methodist Church, Little Cedar, with the Rev. Ted Stowers officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

Michael G. Penney was born Nov. 8, 1952, in Osage, son of Vinus "Bill" and Lorraine (Hultman) Penney. Mick grew up on a farm near Little Cedar. He graduated from Osage High School and Austin Technical School and he attended Iowa State University.

He farmed and worked at Carroll George Company in Northwood for the past nine years. Mick enjoyed farming, was an avid trapshooter, and he attended many concerts. He acquired many friends in the area. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Survivors include his loving companion and her family, Roberta Bryant, of Osage; one sister, a niece and nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, is in charge of arrangements.
