OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church for Mrs. Joseph Mostek, Sr., Mitchell, under direction of Reverend Thomas Conroy; burial in Mitchell Cemetery.
She died of a heart attack at her home Monday, having been in failing health for some time.
She was born in Czechoslovakia as Anna Kruapa. She was married there and came with her husband and family to Racine, Wisconsin, moving later to Otranto, Iowa, then to Mitchell, where she spent the past 23 years.
Survivors include her husband, four sons, Jerry, Anthony, Joe Jr., and John, all of Mitchell; five daughters, Mrs. Axel Hanson, St. Ansgar; Mrs. John Stetka, Racine, Wisconsin; Mrs. Raymond Krech, St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Joe Cullen, Mitchell, and Mrs. Leonard Maakestad, also Mitchell, and 16 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, Matt, infant son, infant son, infant daughter, as well as sisters and brothers in Czechoslovakia.
