Charlotte Theis
Charlotte Theis, 97, of Riceville, Iowa, died Thursday, July 25, 1996, at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27 at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville with the Rev. John Gilbert officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.
Charlotte was born May 14, 1899, in Riceville, the daughter of Nelson and Amy Sprung Crum. She married Leonard Theis on Jan 11, 1936, at St. Peter's Rectory in New Haven, Iowa. She was a retired teacher and a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Robert Theis of Riceville; one daughter, Joan Theis of Riceville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Violet Melugin, of Payson, Arizona.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard, in 1969; and one brother, Leland Crum; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
