Julius Wilke 89, Succumbs
Rites for St. Ansgar Man Will B Held Saturday at Residence.St. Ansgar, Jan. 23 – Julius Wilke, 89, died Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. August Kuehl. He was born in Germany in 1847 and came to America at the age of 29. He settled in Mitchell where he lived a year, then moved to a farm west of Little Cedar where they resided 13 years. They then moved to a farm west of Mitchell where they resided until they retired in 1907 and moved to St. Ansgar.
He is survived by five daughters; two children died in infancy and one son, Mrs. Chris Tobbert, Alexandria, Minn; Mrs. Henry Trittin, Mrs. Emil Hackbarth, Grafton; Mrs. August Kuehl, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Theressa Welnitz, Minnesota; and Gus Wilke, Wilmer Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Feldt, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Bertha Knutson, Kanawha; and Mrs. Conrad Winter, California.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, the Rev. Paul Brammer of the Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating.

Julius Wilke 53 born January 1847 Germany and wife Augusta 45 born August 1855 Germany. Along with their children, her brother Henry Koschmeder is living with them. They have Henry listed as 18 born Germany January 1882.
