Former Osage Boy

Rolland George Schrader, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Schrader of Osage, lost his life Sunday while fishing for trout in Big Mill Creek near Bellevew. It was not definitely established whether Scrader drowned or suffered a heart attack.

The body was found by a nearby fisherman shortly after Schrader was stricken, but efforts at artificial respiration failed to revive him.

Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church in Osage Tuesday afternoon with the Reverend C. D. James officiating. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

Rolland George Schrader was born December 4, 1928, at Mitchell, Iowa. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Schrader of 828 North 7th Street, Osage.

He attended Rock No. 3 rural school south of St. ANsgar and high school at Orchard and Osage. He graduated from Osage High School in 1946, having been active in athletics.

ROLLAND G. SCHRADER

Funeral services and burial for Rolland George Schrader, 21, who died Sunday while trout fishing near Bellevue, were held Tuesday afternoon at Osage.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schrader of Osage, he had been making his home with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. David W. Fisher, 1400 Mt. Pleasant Street, in Burlington. He was employed at the local Sears & Roebuck store.

Orchard, Iowa — Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Gregg of Klemme came to the home of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Bode, to attend the funeral services of Mrs. Bode's nephew, Rolland Schrader.
