Committal rites will be here late Sunday afternoon for a former resident, John F. Stacy, 81, who died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Leon Smalley, at Rochester, Minn.
He had been ill for some time. He was born at Mitchell to Milton and Marietta (Folsom) Stacy, in 1869. He moved as a young lad to Osage with his parents. He married Lottie Harmon here.He leaves two daughters, five grandchildren, great grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Lee Smith and Miss Florence Stacy, both of Osage; Mrs. Jessie Leiben, Bismarck, N. D.
He was preceded by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Ella Crosby.

Funeral Sunday for Former North Iowan
Osage, Iowa - Committal services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Osage cemetery for a former resident, John F. Stacy, 81, with the Rev. Donald Bourne officiating. He died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leon Smalley, at Rochester, Minnesota. He was born at Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Stacy.
Survivors include two daughters and three sisters.

BURIED IN OSAGE
SUNDAY, JAN. 21
[1951]Commital rites were conducted in Osage Sunday for John F. Stacy, 81, former resident of this community, who died last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leon Smalley, in Rochester, Minnesota. He had been in failing health for some time. Services were in charge of the Rev. D. Bourne, of the Congregational church.
Mt. Stacy was born at Mitchell in 1869, the son of Milton and Marietta Folsom Stacy. He moved to Osage with his parents as a boy. He was married to Lottie Harmon. Mr. Stacy was employed by the Great Western railroad for 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Smalley of Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Lou Lewis in Wisconsin; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Lee Smith and Miss Florence Stacy, both of Osage, and Mrs. Jessie Leiben of Bismark, N. Dakota.
