Frank O. Rust

St. Ansgar, Iowa - Frank O. Rust, 63, died Monday at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Don Comnick will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home in charge.

Surviving are two sisters, Ida Rust, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Frank Chatman, Osage; a brother, Gilman Rust, St. Ansgar.

Note: He was the son of Nels and Betsey Rust

Funeral services were held December 19, 1963 at First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar for Mr. Frank Rust, who died at the University hospital, Iowa City, December 16, 1963.

Frank O. Rust was born May 30, 1900 to Mr. and Mrs. Nels Rust, on a farm six miles north of St. Ansgar. He attended the local school and the Cedar Valley Seminary, Osage. He was baptized by Rev. Johan Olsen and confirmed by Rev. M.E. Waldeland in the First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar. He was employed for a number of years in Minneapolis and previous to that he lived in California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Henry. He leaves two sisters, Ida of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Frank (Nellie) Chatman, Osage and one brother, Gilman of St. Ansgar, together with one niece and three nephews.

He died at the age of 63 years, six months and 16 days.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. Don Comnick in charge of the committal services.
