Amanda (nee Arends) Adams 1873-1946
Stacyville---Mrs. Peter Adams, 73, died at her home here Monday. She suffered a stroke friday. She leaves husband Peter and six sons; Nick, Ben and Rinehart, Stacyville; Casper, Austin, Minn., Robert, Greenville, Miss., and Lawrence, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Mauer, Stacyville; Mrs. Luther Seeber, Osage; and Mrs. Schlecker, Nora Springs. Five children preceded her in infancy.
There are 32 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She also leaves four brothers, Reynard Arends, Benson, Minn.; Henry Schultz, Hastings, Minn.; Virgil Schultz, Dexter, Minn., and Aren Arenda, Kellog, Minn; four sisters, Mrs. Rickey Dwyer, Waterloo; Mrs. Anna Betels, Buffalo Center; Mrs. Bernice Van Heyden, Ackley.
Nee Amanda Arends she was born at Forreston, Ill., August 30, 1873, the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Otto Arends. She was married to Peter Adams February 14, 1893. They celebrated their golden wedding in 1943. Funeral Wednesday morning at Visitation church; burial in Visitatin cemetery.
