MARIANNE WEAVERLING

OSAGE, IOWA — Marianne Weaverling, 66, died on Thursday, April 1, 2004, at her home in Osage.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating.

Visitation is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, where there will be a rosary at 5 p.m. Interment will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Marianne was born April 21, 1937, in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Wilma (Korhonen) Rushford. She was united in marriage to Melvin Weaverling on June 26, 1954, in Detroit, Mich. They lived their entire married life in Osage. Marianne was a Cub Scout leader and member of the Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Guild. Marianne enjoyed doing crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Weaverling of Osage; one son, Michael Weaverling and his wife, Melinda, and their children, Kristen and Bradley of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Marilyn Weaverling of Fairchance, Pennsylvania; five sisters, Carol Kuzdak and her husband, Richard, of Detroit, Mich., Sandra Abraham of Indianapolis, Ind., Ginny Leto of Bell, Calif., Donna Sanchez of Fort Worth, Texas., Carla Albro of Indiana-polis, Ind., and one brother, Richard Rushford and his wife, Patty, of Eugene, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
