Jana Darlene Duck

Jana Darlene Duck, age 56, of Clear Lake and formerly of Osage, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Kinney Lindstrom Center Atrium at Opportunity Village in Clear Lake with Pastor Rich Murray officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m.

There will also be a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be at the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Jana was born March 24, 1954, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Murray and Helen (Lee) Duck. She was raised in rural Osage. Jana has been a resident of Opportunity Village in Clear Lake for many years. She enjoyed outdoor activities, music, attending church services, and socializing with the staff and her friends at Opportunity Village. Jana especially enjoyed visits from her family.

Jana is survived by her mother, Helen Duck of Osage; two brothers, Miles (Cheryl) Duck of Mason City, Melvin Duck of Osage; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murray Duck in 2000.
