Gilbert Lee, 76, dies at Osage; Rites Monday
Osage---Gilbert Lee, 76, died Thursday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital here. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Quam will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery. A family service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Champion Funeral Home.
Born in Norway, January 2, 1885, he was the son of Halvor and Bertha Lee. He came to Forest City with an uncle in 1901 and to Mitchell County in 1914. He was married to Olga Framstad in 1921. They farmed in this area.
Surviving are his wife, three children; Mrs. Adrian (Bernice) Nolte, Iowa Falls; Miss Gertrude Lee, at home; Carl, Rochester, Minn.; a sister Mrs. Randi Hvattum, Osage, and four sisters in Norway.
