Osage Woman Born 1879 on Farm in East Lincoln TownshipOsage--Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Champion Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly of the Osage Congregational church for Mr. Ora Douglas, 59, who died Monday morning at her farm home near Osage.
She was born August 31, 1879, on a farm in East Lincoln township. On March 20, 1901, she was married to Ora Ray Douglas.
Surviving are her husband, and one son, one grandson, her mother, Mrs. M. J. Hoisington, three sisters and four brothers; Guy of near Osage; Mrs. Cora Clark of Floyd county; Glen of Floyd county; Mrs. Vern Atherton of Charles City; Harold of near Osage; Neal of Mitchell county and Mrs. Irma Bilharz of Floyd county.
Burial was in the Stillwater cemetery.Mason City Globe Gazette, Wednesday November 8, 1939
note* Gertie (Hoisington) Douglas was the daughter of Marcus Jerome and Anna (Canfield) Hoisington . She was married to Ora Raymond Douglas who was born June 29, 1876 (according to the 1900 Census) and died September 3, 1947.
