BELLE HODSON DIED AT 97, RITES TUESDAY

Plymouth---Mrs. Belle Hodson, 97, died Sunday at a Mason City hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Methodist Church here with burial in the Osage Cemetery. Bride Funeral Home, Manly, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hodson served as a teacher in the early rural schools of Mitchell County. She was also librarian at Plymouth. With her husband, John, who died in 1927, she farmed many years west of Osage.

Surviving are a son, Boyd, Plymouth; six daughters, Mrs. Roland Gould, Plymouth; Mrs. Walter Harmon, Osage; Mrs. Lloyd Stevens, Mason City; Mrs. Lee Hiner, Flint, Mich.; Mrs. A. L. Johnson, Kansas City; Mrs. Henry Galbreth, Des Moines; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren

She was the daughter of Eli Shulze 1822-1907 and Ruby (Elkins) Shulze 1832-1905
She was the wife of John Edwin Hodson born June 16, 1859 Wiscon who died January 29, 1927 in Iowa.
