MRS. WALTER LESLIE SERVICES HELD HERE
Funeral services for a former Nashua resident, Mrs. Walter E Leslie, 55, were held from the Cnewoeth Funeral Home Thursday, February 19, 1953 The Rev. Robt L Ossman pastor of Wesleyan Methodist church in Charles City, was the officiating minister.
Burial was in Wayne Cemetery at McIntire.
Mrs. Leslie passed away at her home in Charles City Monday February 16 following a lingering illness.
Marvalyn A. Sergent was born near Nashua on October 11, 1897 being a daughter of Byron and Nellie Sergent. On September 19, 1916 she was married to Walter Leslie, at Osage.
She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. A. W. Harrison of Nashua, one brother, Titus B Sergent, Austin Minn., four nieces and four great-nieces.
Her parents, a sister, Carrie, and one brother, Irving preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Congregational church and the Eastern Star at Riceville.
