SINCE STROKE PARALYZED
RIGHT SIDERites were conducted at the First Lutheran Church for John M. Tollefson, 68, former resident here who died at his home in Albert Lea Thursday after an illness of more than four years. Reverend O. A. Langehough officiated at the services.
Mr. Tollefson suffered a stroke about four and a half years ago which paralyzed the entire right side of his body. Since that time he had been confined to his bed and despite medical attention and care his condition did not improve.
The son of Tollef and Aase Tollefson, John M. Tollefson was born on a farm one mile north of St. Ansgar January 9, 1867. He grew to manhood there and continued to make it his home until 1915 when he moved to St. Ansgar. After three years residence here he moved to Albert Lea.
In October, 1918, he was married to Josephine Thorson of Albert Lea.
His wife, three brothers and one sister survive him. They are George B. of Makoti, North Dakota, Henry N. of St. Paul, Minnesota, Martin A. of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Tillie Donhowe of Story City, Iowa.
Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry N. Tollefson and children, Norbet, Harold and Virginia, of St. Paul; Mrs. M. D. Johnson and son Leland, Northwood, Mrs. A. G. Hanson, Northwood; Mrs. George Olson, Boland. A number of friends from Albert Lea also attended.
