OBITUARY:
Annie Gladys (Erbe) Tubbs, 1898-1994

Funeral services were will be today, Wednesday May 18, 1994, 1:00 pm at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, for Gladys Tubbs, 95, of Osage. Reverend Clark Christian will officiate and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. She died Sunday, May 15, 1994 at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage.

Gladys was born October 24, 1898 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, the daughter of Henry and Mary Ellen (Gast) Erbe.

She was educated in rural schools and attended the Cedar Valley Seminary in Osage.

Gladys married Earl Tubbs on March 3, 1920 in Osage and they lived in Osage. She was employed by McSweeney's Produce for many years. Gladys had been a resident of Maple Manor in Osage for the past 10 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Earl Clark Tubbs, who died in 1972; three sisters; five brothers; one granddaughter and one grandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Kenny of Osage, and Phyllis McAlister of Austin, MN; one son Charles Tubbs of Oelwein; eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
