Mrs. Marie Donahue Funeral Held Here Thursday, June 18

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Donahue, 94, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center June 16, where held June 18 at the St. Ansgar Catholic church with the Rev. John P. Smith officiating.

Marie Donahue was born September 13, 1886 in Ellington township, Forest City, the daughter of Henry and Tona (Mikkelson) Harrison. She attended Waldorf College, Forest City, Luther Academy, Albert Lea, Minn. and Memorial University, Mason City. In her earlier years she was a school teacher in the north Iowa area.

She married Leo V. Donahue February 13, 1909. Mrs. Donahue is survived by one son, Cyril V. Donahue of St. Ansgar; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Munson of Lake Mills and Mrs. Erma Rygmyr of Walnut Grove, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons, Merlin and Bernard who died in infancy; also one sister and three brothers.

Burial was in St. James Catholic cemetery in Forest City with Rev. Smith in charge of the committal services.
