Simon Myhre Succumbs to Heart Condition

LYLE, MINNESOTA — Simon E. Myhre, 75, died at St. Olaf Hospital Sunday of a heart condition.

Funeral services will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church here Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. G. E. Knudson, Austin, will officiate. Burial will he in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.

The Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mhyre had lived in Lyle 70 years. He and his wife, the former Ida Westrum, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in October, 1957. She died two weeks later. He had been the village policeman here for eight years, until retiring a year ago.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. H. (Doris) Norcross, Mason City; Mrs. C. H. (Nadine) Wolcott, Austin; three sons, Thomas, Aurora, Illinois; Dale, Fairmont, Minnesota; Robert, Lyle; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. A. A. Lee, Lyle; Mrs. Marly Johnson, Rochester, Minnesota; and Mrs. Adolph, Thompson, Mona, Iowa.
