FUNERAL RITES ARE CONDUCTED

Fairbrother Services
Conducted at Orchard
for Native of England

ORCHARD, IOWA - Funeral services were held here Friday afternoon [Jan. 3, 1941] for Mrs. Mary Ann Fairbrother, 72, who died following an illness of three years.

Mrs. Fairbrother was born in England April 23, 1868, and came to this country with her parents when she was 16 years old. They came to Mitchell County and in 1893 she was married to Martin V. Fairbrother.

Mr. and Mrs. Fairbrother made their home at Orchard most of the time since, except for seven years at David.

Mrs. Fairbrother is survived by five children: Roy Fairbrother, Mrs. Charles Clark and Martin Fairbrother of Langley Field, Virginia, and Melvin C. Fairbrother of Windom, Minnesota.

The services were held at the Champion Funeral Home with the Reverend Stiles Lessly in charge. Burial was in the Orchard Cemetery.
